Teas & Timelines

Today my good friend Grace from The Carrs Photography invited me to be a vendor at their exclusive bridal event called, Teas & Timelines. It was such a blast. All the beautiful things about a wedding all in one room, with the soon-to-brides grinning from ear to ear as they planned and dreamed about their big day. I had the pleasure of packing up mini skin care kits to put in swag bags for all the brides to take home. I included a jar of facial cleansing wipes, a 10 ml roller bottle of moisturizer, and a 2 oz rosewater toner, all made with Young Living Essential Oils. I can’t wait for the brides (and some of the vendors!) to try out these easy DIY, super-healthy, skin care products!

Teas and Timelines was a great event for a number of reasons. One, my friend Grace is such a natural at wedding planning. Her husband Michael is the photographer, but there’s a reason it’s called “The Carrs Photography“. You get Grace too. She is an invaluable resource when it comes to suggesting top-notch vendors, styling, decorating, scheduling, hair, make-up… she’s on top of it all. These brides are so absolutely lucky to be working with this sweet husband/wife team.

Another reason why this was a beautiful event? The vendors. As you scroll through my photos be sure to check out these wonderful businesses! They do stunning work, and would be a treasure to have at any event!

During the presentation part of the morning, Grace gave some great wedding day advice that can be translated to any big event that takes a ton of coordinating and time, “don’t sweat the small stuff”. Seriously, my wedding was 10 years ago, and boy would I love to go back and dig up every moment leading up to our big day. It just goes by so fast! A wedding is just too meaningful to stain with stress, anger, or frustration. But isn’t that true about life in general?

I also loved what one of the presenters, Laura Wolff, said about planning your big day. She reminded the brides that their wedding day is about the groom too! She gave lots of fun tips for incorporating the husband-to-be in the wedding planning and decor. Laura sets up beautiful vignettes at weddings and other events using personal photographs, vintage and thrifted items, flowers, wooden crates, and other visually appealing pieces. She made the point that a once “dead space” in a large room suddenly becomes a wonderful place for guests to stand and chat once a vignette is staged.
